NO WAY! LOOK IT'S A NEW POST!!

Yes it's my yearly post! So it's obvious that I'm not good at this so I will apologize now:) 

Korbin is headed to 2nd grade next week, Weston to pre-school, and Jaxon will be 1 soon. Time has gone by so fast since this last post! I do think time goes faster the older you get....

We have had a fabulous summer that has been non stop! Swimming lessons, boating, wedding, trip to Cali, trip to the fire station, having friends over, potlucks, relatives visiting and doing triathlons, music playing, 2 live-ins, convention,  and I'm sure I am missing a few others.

 Kenyon is farming away and I'm trying to keep up with the kids.

Hello again!

I don't really know what to say besides it's been way too long!! Got inspired by my sis-in-laws to get back to blogging:). We've had plenty going on to say the least! Boating, convention, trip to Alaska, catching grass hoppers, farming, you name it. Here are a few pics to catch up a little. Hopefully more to come soon :D!!

Summer time

This summer has been busy as I'm sure it has for everyone. Here are a few pictures of what has been goin' on round here. Kenyon ran a grain harvest crew this summer so we got to go take some pics and managed to get a ride. Mom was here to visit at the time and was able to get in on some of the action.

It is beautiful here during harvest. Lots of things going on and oh how amazing to see how it all works.

We had a party at Doc's (the best pizza around) with cake and friends! Yes he got a present wrapped in princesses from Kevin and Shauna, but the tractor inside was awesome:) Thanks to all who came!

We had a great time for Halloween as Kevin and Shauna had a party at their house for all us crazies!

Fall

I think it is safe to say that this is my favorite time of year! The leaves are turning, the air is fresh, snow is coming, holidays are around the corner, and a cup of something warm is always a good idea! I'm especially excited to spend time with family this year. I love the yummy food that comes with the cold weather and the laughter of fun times!
We managed to put up some applesauce this fall to go with our peaches and pears. I'm very excited to be learning all these things:) Pam has the cooooooooooolest applesauce grinder/maker/separator/thingy that you ever did see!!! It made the process quite a bit easier and even saved some time.

The applesauce "thing". Pour it all in the top, turn the crank, out comes the sauce into the pan, and all the other stuff goes out the end into another container!

Sugar Beets

Sugar Beet harvest is in full swing here in Idaho. The days are busy and long. Kenyon is digging not too far from the house so Korbin has gotten to ride with him a few times. Then it is straight to playing harvest when he gets home! I don't claim to know a lot about all this farming, but I'm trying to learn.
Before the beets can be dug, they have to chop off the leaves and scalp the top of the beets. Then the digger can come and take them out of the dirt and up through the machine and out a boom to load a truck. They have a few semi's and quite a few 10 wheelers. The semi's tend to get stuck a lot easier because of the weight of the load. It hasn't been too wet so that has helped. The days are getting shorter and colder. We have had good weather here, so that is nice. Beet harvest will go into the beginning of November. For now we have long working days, lots of trucks on the road, dust lingering where truck traffic is heavy, and mud. The next vehicle we purchase will not be black.............:)
Weston is on the move. He is not crawling yet, but army crawls/scoots very well. It keeps us on our toes. Trying to keep the floor cleaner as crumbs, dead flies, ect. go strait into his mouth!! I don't have any pictures of the beet dump yet and hope to get some very soon~
